Building Surveyor

Freelance work Insurance Clients, regarding policyholder claims on buildings insurance. Visit properties, report back to client on validation, approx value of works & use schedule of rates.

To contact policyholders by telephone to make appointments to visit. To update client web portals with information on a daily basis.

To visit policyholder's properties and to prepare an independent report with regard to validation of the claim and appropriate schedule of works and costings. To take digital photos and write a brief report of all findings and input data onto client's web portals. Works are varied and include some external ladder work to inspect roofs.

To visit tenanted properties and compile brief reports based on initial inventory and prepare condition surveys. Other small maintenance works may be required. To organise and liaise with contractors for minor works.

Own car required and must be willing to travel between the following counties on a regular basis:-

West Sussex
East Sussex
Surrey
Hampshire
Dorset
Wiltshire

The person we are looking for should be honest, methodical and reliable and able to work closely with the MD as well as independently. Hours are varied to suit the works and will include some early starts
