I.T. Auditors for High-Profile Financial Sector Consultancy

THE COMPANY AND SITUATION:

One of the biggest names in the world of professional services requires experienced I.T. Auditors to work on high-profile projects providing advice to some of the best-known names in the Financial Services sector. This is the chance to use your existing I.T. Audit experience to raise your profile by joining a very prestigious consultancy with equally prestigious clients.


THE ROLE:

This role can be very varied, in that you may be running a workshop for a client focussing on a specific issue, or working in a large multi-disciplinary team providing long-term support to a major change programme. The client base is varied too, consisting of retail banks, investment banks, insurance companies and fund managers as well as companies providing services to the sector. The fundamentals of the role are to provide assurance, advice and attestation to clients on their IT systems & processes, IT risks, IT general controls and IT projects. The work will primarily involve assisting clients with their Finance systems projects. Typical projects involve business process re-engineering, system selection, project assurance, system and controls reviews.

THE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The following experience is essential:

· A Minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in I.T. Audit
· Experience of delivering I.T. Audit/I.T. Assurance services to the financial services industry from a consulting or accountancy firm
· An I.T. background such as I.T service delivery, I.T. project management, I.T. risk management
· A recognised accountancy qualification or I.T. Audit (eg. CISA) qualification HOWEVER, if you are lacking either qualification but have far more than 3 years I.T. Audit experience, do still apply
· Experience of core financial services systems, including transaction processing and financial ledger systems
· Demonstrable Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Please note, the above experience is essential – you require all of the above to be eligible for this role.

Desirable, but not essential are any of the following:

· Degree or Masters in I.T. or equivalent
· I.T. related qualifications such as ITIL, Prince 2, PMP
· Knowledge of SAS70
· Knowledge of FRAG 21
