Our client is a highly regarded, market leading, listed PLC with multiple operating divisions. They are engaged in the design and manufacture of speciality engineering products and related services. The group recently returned a strong financial performance in the face of adverse market conditions and remains on track to fulfil its ambitious investment and expansion programme.

We are currently recruiting a Technical Sales Engineer to be based at their modern, well equipped manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Sales Manager and working alongside an established Sales team, your role will be to interpret client requirements, prepare customer quotations, negotiate and close sales, and procure raw materials. In addition to account management, client problem solving and after sales support, new business development will also fall within your remit.

The appointee will bring a good balance of technical know-how and strong sales skills. Your technical background will include the interpretation of engineering drawings and metallurgy. Your clients will be Engineers from Oil & Gas and Power Generation component manufacturers so it is essential that you have a strong technical understanding of Oil and Gas industry metallurgical specifications.
